Sisällön jaksotus
Working starts week 9 (23.-27.2.2026) with the introduction lection and preliminary material readings.
23.2.2026 17:00-18:00 Introduction lection, Zoom, address will be shown in the itslearning (its).
The reading materials and task will be described in the its (Our learning environment). It will be opened to the students 13.2.2026 in https://turkuamk.itslearning.com/. HAKA Login using your Turku UAS Open university user id. NOTE: Preferred browsers are Chrome and Firefox.
The course consists of group works done in weekly group meetings you will organize yourself, and independent work between them. The student must keep an individual learning diary that includes all his/her activities and participate to all group tasks.
Week 9: Introduction lection and preliminary reading
Week 10-14 weekly group meetings and individual work described in the itslearning environment.
All task must be returned into the ITs no later than 31.3.2025

Students study in a problem-oriented manner and apply theory to practice while working. This course includes small group work and independent study.
Small group work emphasizes self-direction, peer learning, and dialogic interaction. Individual assignments focus on the course literature, practice information acquisition and processing, and a structured way of presenting issues.
Sustainable development is discussed as part of the course in the context of ethical leadership and social responsibility.

If you consider that you already possess competencies that meet the learning outcomes of this course and can provide evidence of such competence, you may complete the course through the Recognition and Accreditation of Prior Learning (AHOT) procedure. You must contact the course instructor no later than one week before the course begins to discuss the possibility of applying for AHOT.
If you have previously completed an equivalent course at another higher education institution, you should first discuss it with your tutor teacher, then submit a credit transfer application through the Peppi student information system and address it to the degree programme coordinator.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
There are three individual assignments, writings that the teacher evaluates on scale Fail/1-5, to be returned during the weeks 10, 12, and 14.
The first one makes 20%, second 30% and the third (final report) 50% of the final grade.
The student must participate in at least 3 of the 4 Teams (or Zoom, whichever the group prefer) discussions (weeks 10-14). These must be included in the learning diary with entries describing the discussion in major details. Evaluated as Accepted/ Failed.
In addition, the learning diary entries of individual readings and other tasks must have been returned weekly, and the given articles or other study material must be marked read weekly. Evaluated as Accepted/ Failed.

The assignments work show that student is managing the basic concepts and theories of international leadership.
The learning diary entries show that the student has participated in at least three of the group Teams meetings.

The assignments show that the student is managing well the theories and concepts of international leadership.
Student is using well the given literature and apply it to given assignments.
The learning diary entries show that the student has participated in at least three of the group Teams meetings and been active in them.
The learning diary entries show that the student has studied the given material weekly.
Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)
The assignments show that the student is managing well the theories and concepts of project management.
Student is able to use the given literature in excellent way and is capable finding and applying relevant additional professional and scientific information sources creating new valuable viewpoints.
The learning diary entries show that the student has participated in all four of the group Teams meetings and been active in them.
The learning diary entries show that the student has studied the given material weekly.

The course is also suitable for TUAS Master students as elective studies. Places will be filled in the order of registration. You will receive information about acceptance via Peppi after the registration period has ended
