- tuntee kinematiikan peruskaavat ja osaa tulkita liikettä niiden avulla.
- tuntee kinetiikan peruskaavat ja osaa laskea momentin sekä voiman vaikutuksesta syntyvän liikkeen.
Objective
After a completed study unit the student:
- knows the basic kinematics formulas and knows how to calculate the resulting motion
- knows the basic kinetics formulas and knows how to calculate the movement generated by force and torque
Content
Kinematics: constant and constantly accelerated motion, coupled pieces, curvilinear motion, translational and rotational motion
- kinetics: linear and curvilinear motion, translation and rotation, general plane motion, rolling and sliding kinetics

Pedagogic approaches and sustainable development
Strength of Materials Course is implemented via Flipped Learning method.
Student workload
During the course about 25 exercises is solved in contact hours.
