Product Development 5 ECTS
- PD projects executed by the systematic process and phase model in small international teams
Design approach to Product development 2 ECTS
- Engineering and Design work should go together and side by side through the whole Product Development process. This Design Approach part of the Product Development course introduces the key design viewpoints and elements to understand and utilize in engineering work. Design approach is integrated to the Product Development projects.

Objective

After completing the course the student:
• become familiar with the different types of Product Development Process
• understand the importance of continuous product
• development as part of a successful business (Timetables, Time to Market, Profit)
• can tailor a project plan to achieve a successful product development project
• be able to take into account the demands to the product (customer- and user-orientation, manufacturing and material demands)
