Objective
The student can perform basic design operations with Computational Fluid Dynamics on a simple flow case in a marine-related setting
Content
As the course deals with major safety issues of ship design, it starts with repetition of basics of flows and power estimation, prior knowledge level assessment, as well as self-studies. The course topics are:
- Distance learning materials of flows, resistance and engine power estimation for non-shipbuilders
- Principles of Computational Fluid Dynamics
- CFD programs that are used in marine technology
- Basic exercises in CFD
