Postpartum Midwifery and Nursing of Newborns 5 crObjectivesStudents will learn to independently provide care for women and families after childbirth.Students will learn to anticipate and identify changes in the health of the woman, the newborn baby and the family after childbirth.Students will know how to guide mothers and families in a family-oriented way that promotes their health.Students will master the newborn treatment process.Students will know how to prevent, identify and react in time to changes in the newborn’s health.Students will learn how to plan, implement and evaluate breastfeedingStudents will understand the importance of early interaction and support for it during the postpartum period.Students will learn to support parenthood and early interaction.Students will know how to detect problems in early interaction.Students will learn to perform a regular postpartum examination.Students will become familiar with the most common perinatal and neonatal disorders and problems.Students will know how to observe and care for a newborn as a multiprofessional team member in situations that threaten the health and life of the newborn.
