The course consists of the following modules and assignments: Module I – Understanding Digital Health (Digital Poster) Module II – Regulation on Medical Devices (One-Statement Argument Analysis + Peer Comment) Module III – Digitalization and Ethics in Health Care (Audio or Text Reflection) Module IV – Accessibility and Availability (Expert Presentation and Peer Comment) Module V – Client-Centered Digital Health (Critical Incident Report and Peer Comment) Module VI – Final Task and Self-Evaluation (Graded Assignment)
Objective
The student uses previously gained knowledge of digitalisation and digital methods during this course. The student has a positive attitude towards digital methods and their introduction. The student is able to identify different digital methods and tools is able to choose the appropriate digital methods, taking into account the customer's individual needs . Student is able to councel clients and other professionals to use digital methods patient safely. The student recognizes the demands of different customer groups and environments in utilizing digital methods. The student is able to apply legislation in the acquisition, implementation, utilization and evaluation of digital methods. The student understands the importance of digital methods as part of the planning, implementation and evaluation of care. The student is aware of digitalisations impact on the availability, effectiveness and economy of care. Student understands healthcare professionals role as an expert in developing digital methods. The student is aware of ethical issues related to digital methods and analyzes those in the tasks on the platform.

Content
Location and time
The study takes place in the Moodle learning environment from 1.9.2025 to 17.5.2026 Students determine their own study schedule.
Materials
The learning materials will be available in the Moodle learning environment from the start of the course.
Teaching methods
This is a self-paced online course. You will explore modules independently. You will study modules and demonstrate your skills in a variety of learning activities. Although students can work independently, it is highly recommended to complete the modules in order.

Competences are demonstrated through various learning tasks or exams during the course.
Student workload
5 CR = 27 hrs/CR x 5 CR = 135 hrs student hours of work. The content is divided into six modules, and it is recommended to reserve about one week for each module.
Evaluation methods and criteria
All assignments are mandatory. The course is assessed on a numeric scale from 0 to 5. The final grade is based solely on the final task and self-evaluation. The teacher provides individual feedback only on the final task. Progress through the earlier modules is monitored, but peer feedback and interim tasks are not graded numerically.
