Objective

Student - is able to work in multi-disciplinary and innovative way at over the fields of professions in reforming the networked communities and their processes. - is able to create a flow of ideas which encourages and develops an atmosphere of the working community and understand the importance of sharing ideas in maintaining an innovative organizational culture. - uses knowledge and innovation tools fluently to help stimulate the development process and is able to lead to refinement of ideas into new products and services.

Methods of completion

Online, self-study course. The course is possible to start non-stop. The student should reserve a four month period to complete the course.

Materials

The learning materials of the course include e.g. online materials in the learning environment, related articles, podcasts, videos, books, project plans and websites.

Teaching methods

You can study the course independently at your own pace during the implementation period from September 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025. Studying includes getting to know the materials and working independently. In the course, you implement your own innovation project. We challenge you to change something in your own or your work community's operations. The goal is to put theory into practice and learn by doing. As a result of the work, a personal innovation manual will be created for you. The course is evaluated based on the innovation manual and the pitch video. The course assignments must be completed no later than July 31, 2025. The assignments required to complete the course can be returned at any time to the return folder in the course, and they will be evaluated within approximately four weeks of each return date. Feedback on the studies completed during June and July will be given and the evaluation will be done in August. There are two return dates in the fall semester, three in the spring semester and one in the summer semester. The return dates are 31.10.2024, 31.12.2024, 9.3.2025, 13.4.2025, 15.5.2025 and 31.7.2025.

Student workload

The workload of the course is approximately 135 hours of independent study.
