Objective

The student - is able to describe and evaluate the potential of welfare technology to maintain wellbeing and promote health. - is able to find out the needs of different user groups and user experiences for different welfare technology solutions. - knows methods of developing welfare technologies for the needs of different user groups. - knows the principles of ethics in the user context of welfare technologies. - knows and understands the importance of data protection in the context of welfare technologies.

Non-stop between 19.8.2024 and 16.12.2024.

Materials

Moodle articles and other material presented on the course platform. Material and literature found by the student.

Teaching methods

100% online course on the Moodle learning platform (https://moodle.tuni.fi), a self-paced modules. The course includes independent reading and writing assignments and a final exam on Moodle. The course is delivered only in Finnish. The course is divided into modules. Passing all modules is a prerequisite for completing the course.

A numerically assessed exam with two possible attempts.
