- know the most important contents and concepts of knowledge management - know and are able to identify the levels of knowledge construction and their significance in management - understand the contents of intellectual capital and its significance in management - are familiar with the process models of knowledge management, and how they affect the development of organisations - understand and are able to apply knowledge management in value creation - understand the importance of data systems and information management in managing organisations - are able to implement a work-life based knowledge management project, as well as evaluate its implementation and benefits for the organisation

Teaching methods

Studying takes place in Moodle, https://moodle.tuni.fi HOW TO STUDY (independent, virtual) This course includes 4 parts, 1, 2, 3 and 4. You're supposed to carry out these parts in order. Part 1: Instructions and pretask essey. (0,5 credits) Part 2: Video lesson, articles and test. (0,5 credit) Part 3: Applied scientific articles, learning diaries and discussions. (1 credit) Part 4: Designing a work-life based knowledge management project (3 credits) The course is in english and we use english in our tasks and conversations. However, if you are studing your Master´s degree in finnish, you can write the project report in part 4 in finnish. You can study at your own pace. Notice that 1 credit means 27 hours of work. Teachers check the tasks: 3.4.2025, 5.5.2025, 2.6.2025 and last time 1.8.2025. (You get your evaluation and credits in 3 weeks)
