Objective

The course provides students with both the in-depth understanding and practical skills to develop management within organisations in their field at various levels, including strategic leadership, operational leadership and human resources management. Students will explore the fundamentals of management and learn about development approaches and their application. The course is suitable for students of all disciplines. On successfully completing this course, students will have: - an in-depth understanding of various aspects of management and of the importance of sustainable development in the management of an organisation - the ability to apply their knowledge in the design and implementation of management development task - the skills to work in a variety of management roles

Content: - the foundations of management: key concepts in strategic and operational leadership and human resources management. - sustainable development and volunteer management - inquiry-based approaches to management development
