In this course, students will become familiar with the close relationship between humans and the climate. - the history and reality of climate change and its impact on human systems - climate change theory and climate science - climate change as a sustainable development challenge - knowledge and institutions for mitigating and adapting to climate change The material from this course was utilized in the SSE2: Environmental and Technical Cycles course package. If you've already completed that package, we recommend that you don't take this course, since it covers the same topics.
