Tavoitteet
After completing the course the student can:
Describe what Digitalisation is,how it affectsbusiness and which new opportunities it may enable
Describe what Big Data, Internet of Things (IOT), Internet of Everything and other concepts and trends related to Digitalisation are, and which Information Security challenges Digitalisation may introduce.
Create innovation proposals for new solutions using technologies available for Digitalisation and cloud-based solutions.

Status and forecast for Digitalisation
Technologies
Oppimateriaalit
Material (videos, articles, etc) from internet, available via the learning environments (Optima).
Presented and other additional material in Optima.
Opetusmenetelmät
Collaboration in the learning environments and independent work, mostly online.
Students also self-study subjects and create reports and presentations.
Teacher and students have presentations during the workshop.
Pedagogiset toimintatavat ja kestävä kehitys
The course provides understanding how digitalisation affect to us. Students work both individually and collaborate virtually in the learning environments. Students also make presentations about digitalisation during the workshops. Note: The presentations may be done with recorded video via the learning platform if students are not able to take part in the workshops.

Workshops: 3h + 3h + 3h = 9 hours
Personal work: self-study, assignments and preparations for the
workshops: 123 hours
- weekly video discussions
- weekly writing or commenting in the learning diaries
- exercises in the ViLLE learning environment
- creation of two reports about subjects related to digitalization
- preparation of presentation about one subject in workshop
- creation of innovation proposal related to digitalization
- peer reviews
On-line exam: 1 hour
TOTAL: 133 hours
Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
Evaluation is based on:
- Attendance and presentations in the workshops: 20%
- Personal work: 60%
- Exam: 20%
Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)
Student:
- participates in one workshop and make one presentation (subject or innovation)
- completes 50% of assignments. The created subject reports need significant improvements or one of them is not completed.
- receives feedback to her/his presentation in the workshops and based on the feedback the presentation is decent.
Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)
Student:
- participates in two workshops and make two presentations (subject and innovation)
- completes 75% of the assignments. Subject reports done are satisfactory based on the peer evaluations.
- receives feedback to her/his presentations in the workshops and based on the feedback at least one of the presentation is good.
Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)
Student:
- participates in all the workshops and make two presentations (subject and innovation)
- completes 90% of the assignments. Subject reports done but need some improvements.
- provides many fresh comments in the learning diary, AND/OR provides excellent comments to the diaries of other students. Subject reports are good or excellent based on the peer evaluations.
- receives feedback to her/his presentations in the workshops and based on the feedback both of the presentations are good.
