Objective
The aim of the course is for the student to reach the proficiency level B1.1 in the Finnish language. Students are able to communicate and be increasingly proactive in everyday communication situations.
Content
After completing the course, students are able to
• understands clearly spoken standard language when the topic is related to familiar things such as work, school or leisure
• participate in the discussion of topics of interest to them, as well as topics that are related to everyday life and current issues
• describe experiences and events as well as dreams and goals
• justify and explain, at least briefly, their own opinions and plans
• write short, coherent texts on familiar topics
• use fairly extensive everyday vocabulary and some common phrases and idioms

At least the proficiency level A2 in the Finnish language
