Teaching methods
Teacher's lectures based on learning material.
A discussion session twice. Students prepare for the discussions by reading the given material and familiarizing with the discussion topic (Flipped learning -method).
Exam schedules
There are three possibilities to take the exam
1. Exam date 15.4. at 08:30 (as in schedules)
2. First retake: 25.4. the exact time will be checked to suit the schedules
3. Second retake: 28.4. klo 10-13 (will be checked in the beginnig of the course)
There will be no other possibilities to take the exam.
Absence form an exam is considered attendance/failure. Student can attempt a higher grade in each exam. Attemting a renewed exam a prior enrollment with the teacher is required. The highest grade achieved is the final grade of the exam.
International connections
A more traditional approach: Lectures and an exam on the material.
Flipped learning: Students prepare for the discussion session prior the sessions.

5 ECTS is 130 hrs of student work, estimated as follows:
Attanding the lectures
Reading and preparation for the lectures / after the lectures
Preparation for the discussion session and reading the preparation material
Preparation for the exam

The course is entirely in English. Attendance is required on activity and dicusssion session.

Assessment methods and criteria
2 discussion session with given topics, in groups of 4 (prior preparation necessary). These discussion sessions are peer&self graded.
Final exam of the course (multiple choice, some open question answers),
Own PC and access to its-platform necessary in order to participate.
Exam is 70% of the final grade
Each discussion (2) 15% - Absence from both discussions results to a failure of the course. Minimum one attendance. Absence IS calculated as 0.
Course is graded from failed/ 1-5
Assessment criteria, fail (0)
Failure to pass the exam (three attempts not udes or not passed)
OR
Failure to participate into 2 of the discussion sessions.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
Grade 1
Exam passed with 1 and at least one discussion evaluated a minumum of grade 3.
OR Exam passed with grade 1 and two discussions both passed with a minimum of 1.
Grade two requires higher evaluations, but less than grade 3.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
Grade 3
Exam passed with 3 and both discussion evaluated a minumum of grade 3.
Grade 4
Exam passed with grade 4 or higher and two discussions resulting to a 4 or higher.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Exam and discussions are all graded 5.
A possibility to higher the grade with class attendance and attentative activity in class during lectures.
