Objective
In this course the student is introduced to the theory and practices of control systems on a more in-depth level than in the introductory courses. After completing the course, the student:
- Knows methods for modeling systems, and can evaluate the dynamic properties of systems
- Is introduced to the theory of transfer functions, and can use this in analyzing and designing control systems
- Knows different control methods and their uses
- Knows the properties of common sensors and actuators used to control systems, and can select a suitable sensor and actuator for different control tasks
- Can plan and implement a control system
