Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to name SI units and explain their definitions, as well as explain the basic concepts of metrology, such as measurement traceability, calibration, and measurement uncertainty. The student will be able to explain the functions of components of a measurement system, compare different types of sensors, and select the most suitable one for a given application. The student will be able to measure electrical quantities, identify different sources of interference, and protect the measurement equipment from them.
