The student is able to:
- tell about the structures of materials (metals, plastics and polymers) and composite materials, their chemical and physical properties and manufacturing technologies
- describe cause-and-effect relationships between material structure and material properties
- tell about different testing methods for materials
- describe the effects of different materials and their manufacturing technologies from the perspective of material efficiency, carbon neutrality and sustainable development

In the course, students familiarize themselves with materials and their processing.
