Objective

Objectives
• Gain further proficiency in determining the need for, planning, administering and evaluating specialized, demanding emergency care
• Understand the systematic examination of patients (ABCDE), know how to assess, under supervision, the patient’s general condition, make a preliminary diagnosis, and plan the treatment and location for further treatment
• Learn to support and provide guidance to patients and their family members
• Deepen their ability to interact professionally and engage in a care relationship with people of different ages and from different cultural backgrounds
• Learn to make decisions requiring emergency care expertise in cooperation with the patient and other professional groups, as well as to support the patient’s resources to promote the patient’s health
• Master the CRM principles and know how to follow it in emergency care teams
• Understand the ethics and fundamental values of emergency care and base their actions on current knowledge
• Deepen their pharmacotherapy competence in different fields of emergency care (medication passport)
• Master the systematic and appropriate documentation and reporting of patient information (ISBAR) in different contexts
• Learn to communicate with emergency care personnel and other professionals (incl. VIRVE communication)
• Deepen their competence in infection prevention and in compliance with aseptic principles

• Systematical examination of patients (ABCDE), making a preliminary diagnosis

• Professional interaction in a care relationship with people of different ages and from different cultural backgrounds.
• Decisions requiring emergency care expertise in cooperation with the patient and other professional groups, support the patient’s resources to promote their health
• Overall assessment of situation, making a preliminary diagnosis and planning the care needed by the patient and place of further treatment
• Principles of CRM and their implementation in emergency care
