The students will be able to:

· Describe a health-based approach as the basis for nursing and midwifery
· Describe current challenges related to the health and well-being of the population
· Outline the whole set of health and social services and the meaning of legislation that guides services
· Search for information and guide clients in different life situations to social and health care services
· Recognise the importance of multi-professionalism from the perspective of service needs
· Describe the principles of sustainable development, taking into account ecological, economic, social and cultural sustainability, and the capital they generate
