Students will
• Understand cancer as a disease and identify the factors related to early diagnosis and prevention of cancer
• Students will know different methods of treating and monitoring cancer how common types of cancer are diagnosed
• Students will know how to provide cancer patients with symptomatic and humane nursing services
• Students will know how to perform safe pharmacotherapy and how to pay attention to their personal occupational safety
• Students will know how to support and guide the functional capacity, well-being and quality of life of cancer patients and how to work with customers and their family members as a member of a multiprofessional team

Further information
The theoretical studies in nursing of an internal medicine patient or surgical patient must have been successfully completed before the cancer nursing course, as well as clinical training.
The course must be completed in its entirety within one year.
