Objective

This course provides the skills necessary for planning and implementing the co-development and testing of user-friendly well-being, health, and aging technologies.

After completing the course, the student will be able to:
Consider the needs, expectations, and preferences of the target client group or population in all stages of the product and service development processes based on user-friendly co-development and testing.
Search for, find, and critically evaluate relevant publications and other information to support development processes and identify knowledge gaps.
Plan and implement ethically valid, purposeful, and coherent development projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
Apply critical thinking and facilitate data collection and analysis in co-development and testing for user-friendly product and service development.
Discuss complex phenomena in co-development through theories of occupational therapy, the science of occupation, and empirical perspectives, as well as understand the value of stakeholder participation.

Identifying user needs, expectations, and preferences.

Planning and implementing transdisciplinary co-development of user-friendly products and services.

Designing and conducting transdisciplinary testing and user trials for user-friendly products and services.
