Assessment methods and criteria

From 0 to 5 assessment scale is used. Assessment is based on points collected through the tasks of the course as follows:

Learning diary: max. 75 points
Orienting tasks: max. 9 points
Small Group Assignments: max. 16 points

Grade Calculation:
The total points accumulated from the course components are summed up, and the final grade is determined based on the following scale:

0–49 points = Grade 0
50–59 points = Grade 1
60–69 points = Grade 2
70–79 points = Grade 3
80–89 points = Grade 4
90–100 points = Grade 5

If a student has absence from contact meetings, substitute assignments need to be done (assessed as pass/fail). If the student does not meet the deadlines of the assignments, next trial to pass the course will be on next semester. The detailed assessment grid is available at the e-learning environment of the course.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

Student has not returned all assignments, attended to contact teaching sessions or completed replacement assignments. The returned tasks are superficial or do not correspond to the assignment.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Student has returned all assignments and participated in contact teaching sessions. Student demonstrates basic understanding of the contents of the course.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Student has returned all assignments on time and actively participated in contact teaching sessions. Student demonstrates good understanding and application of the contents of the course.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student has returned all assignments on time and actively participated in contact teaching. Student demonstrates profound understanding and application of the contents of the course.
