Objective

The students broaden their vocabulary and knowledge of basic skills of the field of their interest. The students comprehend texts of the field and they can also produce short field-specific texts and oral presentations. The students can verbalize problems and can explain the process of problem solving. Finnish language proficiency level: B1.1–B1.2 (CEFR).

Content

In reading comprehension, the students progress from understanding popular texts to more demanding texts and practice summarizing them both in speech and writing. The students practice language needed in mathematics and in problem solving. The students strengthen their command of field-specific terminology and essential grammatical structures.

Qualifications

Minimum language proficiency level B1 in Finnish.
