Objective

After a completed study unit the student
- can program industrial robots
- can simulate a simple robot cell
- understands the significance of simulation programs
- can estimate the costs of robot investment
- knows the relevant safety standards and where to look for safety requirements
- can document robot programs and write instructions for robot user

Content

- programming: position registers and parametric programs
- practical lab work
- modeling the robot cell and verifying the cycle time in simulatio environment
- basics of robot investment
- different types of industrial robots and their use
- gripper design
- safety of robot system and related standards
- documentation of a robot program
- local robot users and integrators
