Objective

The student knows the basic concepts and key nomenclature of house building and knows different building types, building parts and conventional building materials. He knows the official drawing markings of the main drawings of the small house. The student knows construction authority regulations and the content of building regulations collections. He understands the importance of building physical planning as part of the thermal and moisture technical functionality of buildings. The student understands the importance of energy-economic planning.
The goal is to provide a basis for understanding e.g. corrosion of metal and concrete, the behavior of paints and varnishes, the nature of mold, the structure of plastics and the behavior of different chemicals. After completing the course, the student knows chemical phenomena related to construction and building materials. The student knows the radon prevention methods for new construction and renovation construction.
