Objective
Objectives
• Students will deepen their understanding of the injury mechanism of patients and the prevention of disability
• Students will know the examination and treatment practices of acutely injured patients of different ages in emergency care
• Students will know the examination and treatment practices of surgical patients of different ages in emergency care
• Students will gain more in-depth understanding of the models of collaboration between authorities in accidents and emergency situations

Contents
• Injury mechanism and various types of injuries
• Prevention of accidents and occupational safety
• Systematical examination of injured and surgical patients (cABCDE), making a preliminary diagnosis and emergency care
• Pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy in basic emergency care, advanced level medication used in the care of injured and surgical patients
• Immobilization and transport of injured patients
• Competence in classifying injured patients in major accidents and accidents involving multiple patients
• Rescue operation skills and organization of rescue operations in accidents
• Operational models of the police in situations of threat and violence
• Documentation of treatment and referral to care of injured and surgical patients
• Principles of CRM
• Authority communications (VIRVE)
• Aseptic techniques and ergonomics in emergency care
