Objective

Four-month work place studies. The student will deepen the necessary skills in civil engineering production management offered in the company under the supervision of the job instructor.The work based learning is planned and supervised and its objectives will be agreed in co-operation by TUAS, the workplace instructors and the student.During the course, the student will learn about production management and planning of construction industry and will be able to use the skills learned in TUAS in practice.

Content

The content of the work based studies is selected to be as diverse as possible when taking into account the possibilities offered at the work place. The student will become familiar with their future profession’s managerial skills and tasks, and human resource management. The student will take part, based on the possibilities, in the following tasks:-Work management-Production planning and control-Co-operation-Interaction-Determining work objectives-Giving feedback-Motivation-Delegation-Recruitment-Hiring-Contracts-Job orientationAn essential part of the course is completing the pre-assignments.
